School. Oh joy. And I'm the new kid, along with my brother. Oh FUCKING joy... I'm Amy, and my brother, who we call Knuckles (his name is actually Chuckie) are here at Mobius High School for Advanced Fighting Techniques, though everyone calls it Mutant High, because all of us are in our own way. Why are we here? Because of our new-found dead great grandfather.

He left an heirloom and an estate to us, just me and Knuckles. The heirloom is this giant emerald, called the Master Emerald, to guard because of villains like Dr. Robotnic, or that jewel thief nearby. This thing is huge. It must be very heavy. I hope I never have to carry it. The estate is actually two. One is this huge castle at the base of a mountain. Two is this floating island that has the Master Emerald on it. To get there, you have to go into a cave, up a huge spiral staircase, through another cave, and across a swinging bridge, just to get to the island. There is also a path before the bridge that takes you down to the lake made by the hole where the island used to be. It's surrounded by mountains, so it's impossible to find otherwise. The cave is behind the castle, through rose bushes.

Knuckles and I have the whole place to ourselves, because our parents are long gone, and we don't want to bother our grandfather anymore. Great-grandfather also left a lot of money, so we are financially set for about.... Three generations. We decided not to invite anyone over, or tell them where we live, so we can fit in more.

My room is at the top of a tower, and has a splendid view, and its own spiral staircase, along with an elevator, though I preferred the stairs. Knuckles' room is on one of the top floors too, but wasn't in a tower. We went shopping earlier this week, both to fill the fridge, fill our new closets and rooms, and the rest of the castle.

There is one more thing that great-grandfather gave us, when we were little, so we don't remember, before he basically disappeared here. It was a bracelet for each of us. The symbols were mainly the same, a board, skate-like shoes, a book, a horse, a chariot, things like that, but mine had a hammer and Knuckles had what looked like a pair of his boxing gloves with spikes on them. We learned shortly after we got them that when we pressed on the symbols, whatever symbol it was would come out. Cool, yes, but one of our biggest secrets.

Knuckles, my older twin by a few hours, and I, don't look to terribly alike. He has long red dreadlocks, muscles, and a tan, while I had short, strawberry-blonde hair that looked sorta pink, hidden muscles (just a different workout technique I guess), and am kinda pale. We were both outcasts in our school system, and our neighborhood, so perhaps this will be good. We're both sixteen, and have our driver's license, though Knuckles likes driving more than I do.

We are currently sitting in a car, going to school, Knuckles driving, me riding. We had been to this school with the principle who showed us around until we knew where to go. It was awkward because it was just us and the principal. We arrived at the school, and Knuckles parked in the student parking lot. We entered, went through the lobby, and went straight for the courtyard fountain. We sat there, people looking at us, inspecting. They saw Knuckles and his tanned muscles hidden away by a  red shirt, blue jeans, and red converse, his dreadlocks hanging loosely around him, his simple black backpack beside him to the left. Further to the left I sat, my short pinkish hair, which was about to my neck, fashioned my classic headband, red today to match Knuckles, and a long red shirt-dress thing, dark blue jeans, and red knee-high boots, though most of the boots were hidden by the jeans. My backpack was also plainly black. We matched, we always did, by purpose or accident. A twin thing I guess. Today was on purpose, so we could find each other easier. Our schedules had three classes plus lunch together, leaving us alone in the other ones. First period English, First Lunch, Fighting/Training class, and Japanese last period.  Yes Japanese. We are half Japanese, half everything else freaking available it seemed. Since everything else was less relative to us, we opted for Japanese.

First bell rung, and we went to first period, though we freaked a few people out by grabbing our backpacks, hanging them over our shoulders instead of putting them on, walking, and smirking the same way at the same time, amused by the people who freaked out about the togetherness thing. English was dull and soon we were to head of our separate ways until lunch. Apparently Knuckles got the same idea as I, as we were to part at the door, we kissed each other on the cheek at the same time, and hugging a little tighter than friends, not quite an embrace. Then left I went and right did he, leaving everyone who saw dumbfounded. I didn't talk all day, for the teachers did the introducing, and didn't call on me, and the same was for Knuckles. When we met at lunch we pulled out identical ham sandwiches, chips, water, and a cookie. We sat together and didn't talk, too amused by everyone's freaked-out stares. We were pretending to be communicating with our minds, for we occasionally would point at the same thing and laugh, nod, shake our heads, or look in disgust. We did a couple by accident, but mainly planned them in the notebook between us. We agreed that we would try out for drama when try outs came along. We went to fighting class and basically sat there while the class was explained. Then when we met in Japanese class, we greeted the teacher, without words of course, the traditional way of bowing at the same time, then took seats next to each other.

On our way home, well actually as soon as no traffic was around to see us, we laughed like hell about the things we did. We decided we would continue until next week, or the first time one of us is forced to talk. We we got home, I went to the fridge and got an apple, then went to my room to start homework. Knuckles, not surprisingly, did the same, as it had always been our routine. We may be fraternal twins, but our personalities were very similar. Even we didn't know why, we just were. At about 5 o'clock, after I finished my homework, I went back downstairs to start on dinner. I felt in the mood for pasta, so I got the pot halfway filled with water and started heating it up. While it heated up, I got another pot out out to make the sauce in. As the pots heated up, I turned on the oven for bread. As everything was heating up I got out the ingredients, canned sauce, a loaf of bread waiting to be cut, spaghetti, butter, and garlic seasoning. I started cutting the bread, buttered it, then added to garlic seasoning. I put it in the oven then started on the sauce and pasta when Knuckles came down. He, seeing I already started on the food that I'm sure he was craving too, went to get plates, silverware, and napkins from their hiding places. We soon were eating dinner at the table, sharing our thoughts on the class, when we heard a strange noise outside. We shrugged it off, then when we were putting the dishes away, we heard it again. It was a vibration-like noise. We quickly headed outside to find that idiot Robotnic with one of his mechs outside, searching for us. We snuck around, not letting him spot us, and let him think we weren't there. He soon left, supposedly giving up the search. We decided to go back inside, and if even a twig snaps, or if the crickets stop chirping, we would investigate. Luckily we didn't get disturbed again.

For the next week we kept up the twin act, then let it drop. Soon, I met a girl they called Cream, probably because she was sweet, and had pretty, long, creamy light brown hair with blond highlights, which she pulled back into two ponytails, which reminded me of bunny ears and brown eyes, a boy called Tails, who I found out was named Miles Prower, who had light blue eyes and blond hair. I guess he's called Tails for that scarf of his? Maybe. I also met a girl who is called, and named, Rouge who had white hair, and it was naturally that way she said. Doctors couldn't explain it, and I told her that doctors couldn't figure out why my hair looks pink when it's really strawberry blonde. There is also a boy called Charmy. He wears a helmet and googles, and his eyes were dark brown, almost black. He is very hyper and reminds me of a bee, probably because of the yellow and black striped shirt he wears all the time. Knuckles met a couple of guys, two boys in track and field, Sonic had blue hair, which Knuckles is sure is dyed, and is called Sonic because of his speed, a boy called Shadow, also because of his speed, and has black hair with red steaks which I think are real. They look similar but swear they aren't related. Another boy who looks like them, but not related to, called Silver, mostly for his silver-white hair. He is actually Rouge's twin, I found out, which sorta explains the hair. Then there is Vector, a guy with green hair, apparently from way too much chlorine at his summer job, is a taller guy who always has his headphones with him. I almost forgot another guy I met, via Charmy, Espio. He is rather quiet, and I'm pretty sure he is a qualified ninja. Despite that, an incident with a can of purple oil paint managed to make all of his hair purple, except his bangs, revealing his naturally honey-blonde hair. All of our friends, except Espio, Shadow, and Charmy asked about coming over, but we quickly declined, claiming a sick relative, which was true, but she just kept getting colds and lives in Japan.

One day, about a month later, after school, Knuckles and I were talking with our entire group of friends, mainly so Knuckles could see the guys I called my friends (can anyone say, overprotective?) and so I could know his a little better than first name bases, when no one was around, Sonic left to go to the bathroom. Something had me take note of what he wore, a pair of blue jeans, a red graphic tee with the words 5 o'clock somewhere written on it, and a black formal-looking jacket (blazer?) with his typical red running shoes. A few minutes later, he came back, but seemed strange. His blazer seemed blue, and his shirt seemed different, and he looked overall... Shiny. He also wasn't talking as he approached us, looking straight at me. When he reached us, he grabbed me around my waist with one arm, then started to fly up to who knows where. Knuckles started to reach for his bracelet, but I shouted no in the middle of my screams and squirming.

After a while we reached Robotnic's newest fort, and 'Sonic' put me in a cell. I figured out during the fly that this guy was made of metal. As soon as he closed the cell door I pressed on two buttons. The first was a homing device that let Knuckles know my location. The second was a special key, most people call it a skeleton key, but I call it an around key. The homing button glows red for a second, it being a rectangle with a circle in the middle, and the around key, it being a simple-looking key, popped out of place and grew, all in a second. I make quick work of the door, then pressed a button on the key to make it go back on the bracelet on its own. I then press the hammer key, and similar to the around key it comes out and grows. I hold it with both hands, wary of any of Robotnic's robots. Strangely, I didn't find any, and reached the control room where Egghead would have to be, and sure enough he was there, unsuspecting. I decided I didn't want to fight, so I quickly knock him out, lock the doors, and check the cameras for anyone else. I found no one, and started steering the fort towards the castle, to park it in the woods. Strangely it took less time to get back then to get where I was. I reach there, and as soon as I touch down, Knuckles comes running, though he looks a little stiff. He takes Egghead to the police while I shut down the fort, put my hammer back, and go inside. Knuckles then comes back in, still looking kinda stiff. I shrug it off, he probably strained something. I go up to my room, too tired to eat something. The stairs sounded weird as well... I think my head is messing with me. I go to my room and open the door, taking a few steps inside. It was bare, and metal. I turn around and the door is closed. I rush towards it and try to open it, but it didn't work. I was locked in this cage.
Well, enjoy (I hope) if I suck THAT badly, you can tell me...

Oh. My. Gosh. 100 views. I LOVES YOU ALL.

I own NONE of Sonic or the Sonic characters or Sonic and Friends or whatever it is. They belong to the Sonic Team and SEGAaaaaaaa. And sadly, the Master Emerald and Angel Island do not belong to me... It belongs to the Sonic Team and SEGA as well.
